They're Exciting... They're a unique musical experience... They're the Homewood Brass Consort Comprised of Principal and Co-Principal members of the brass section of the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra, the Homewood Brass Consort is an ensemble dedicated to the performance of brass ensemble music of all musical periods and styles for all musical tastes. Our repertoire covers the spectrum of music from the Renaissance to the Modern periods including, in addition to serious brass chamber music, ragtime, and big-band style jazz. There is something for everyone in a concert by the Homewood Brass Consort. Though, the brass quintet is the most popular instrumentation of the Homewood Brass Consort, we are also available as a large brass choir of anywhere from 13 to 22 performers. The brass choir is a superb way to add splendor to your musical event. For sound samples of the brass quintet alone, quintet and organ as well as the large brass choir see our Repertoire page and the pages within it. The Homewood Brass Consort is available for concerts of brass alone, brass and organ, Christmas holiday concerts, church services, weddings (both ceremony and reception) and commencement ceremonies, or any other event that you can imagine that would be complemented by great music. |
